In this second part of my trestle table build videos I cover the building of the trestle table base and applying finish to the table. Be sure to watch the first video of the series where I construct the table top with breadboard ends.

Because I can't just focus on one project and complete it, I jumped back to a table and bench project. The person for whom it is for has requested a white base (Ash) and a blue top (Red Oak + Rubio Monocoat Indigo Midnight). These progress shots in reverse order highlight the steps I am using for the bench as I work out the steps for the project. Currently painting the base of the bench and then finishing the top. Once the bench is done I will be back to working on the matching table.

Drawing inspiration from Shara at @woodshopdiaries I built out this sliding drawer corner cabinet. I dislike lazy susans in corner cabinets and the swing out options are not terribly budget friendly for the needs of this project. Shara's sliding drawer option seemed ideal and works well for my cabinet situation for this project. Definitely an economic option for these tricky corner cabinets.

Installing some side mount drawer slides today.

Working on my cabinet building skills. Currently building out the lowers and a tall pantry for a kitchen space. First time doing edge banding and went with the iron on option. Also the first time using a pre-finished one sided ply. Keeping it straight which side I am working on has been interesting. Improving skills and learning as I go.

Just got these two barn doors hung. Each is 8' tall by 40" wide. This project was started in Sept 2023. It was one of those projects that you aren't terribly enthusiastic about doing so you start and it then gets pushed aside for more interesting projects. I can say I am glad to have them done (other than adding handles) and that they aren't taking up space in the shop any more.
One lesson learned is I need to learn to spray paint and not roll/brush. I am never happy with how it turns out.
